  • Coastal Carolina University track athelete Jonathan Jeffries (center, jumping), along with members of Coastal's track team, warm-up for sprints at the track and field facility on Campus. With temps in the mid-60's, many atheletes on the campus were using the warm weather to practice for outdoors sports.

  • The Seahawks celebrate after winning the girls Class AAA State Championship game Saturday evening at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia. Myrtle Beach beat Greenville 60-38 to win their second consecutive state championship.
  • Marathon runner Christine Rockey makes her way down Ocean Blvd. during Saturday's 12th Annual Bi-Lo Myrtle Beach Marathon.
  • Mullins High School standout Demitrius Sanders caught 38 passes for 768 yards and three touchdowns last season. This year High School Sports Report has named him as a preseason Class AA all-state defensive back.
  • Allen Patrick of Conway High is the defensive football Toast of the Coast.
  • The Waccamaw Warriors, 2009 State Class AA golf champions, wait to be presented with the 1st place trophy late Tuesday afternoon at True Blue Plantation in Pawleys Island. The Warriors edged out Bishop England for the title.
